The project consisted of lighting approximately 2700 parking spaces and providing electric car charging stations for employees of American Airlines at three sites. Logistics and installation methods presented multiple challenges. One site was constructed near an old river bottom. Excavation on this site was hampered due large quantities of river rock. Installation depths were minimized requiring wrapped rigid conduit in lieu of PVC. From a physically demanding perspective, this was one of the most difficult jobs RMJ has built. All work was phased in order to minimize disruptions affecting the owners employees maintaining their day to day operations. Tools, equipment and material staging required constant field management as the three sites were under construction simultaneously.
